National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Services

The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requires federal agencies to consider the potentially significant impacts of their actions on the environment. McGinley understands our clients' unique regulatory and planning issues, and we have experience managing complex NEPA projects.

With a highly experienced NEPA team, we are skilled at navigating: the variety of NEPA compliance approaches followed by different federal agencies; planning and project management; working seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams; providing agency coordination; and engaging with stakeholders and the public. We create NEPA documents that are reader-friendly, legally defensible, and meet federal, state, and local environmental regulations and guidelines.

McGinley offers extensive services to assist with NEPA compliance and reduce the risk and liability of non-compliance. We provide environmental solutions from start to finish and offer a diverse multidisciplinary team of biologists, ecologists, meteorologists, geochemists, hydrologists, GIS specialists, data managers, engineers, environmental planners, NEPA/California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) experts, and environmental regulation specialists.

By preparing NEPA compliance documents and evaluating potential environmental impacts, we provide services that include recommendations to avoid, minimize, and/or mitigate environmental impacts and address comments raised by stakeholders; federal, state, and local regulatory agencies; landowners; and the public. Our NEPA planning services include but are not limited to developing scientific studies, baseline surveys, wetland delineations, hydrogeological assessments, air quality impact studies, Geographical Information Systems, drone surveys, data management, agency consultation and coordination, and public involvement.
